01. Disconnect your Internet connection.
02. Double-click 'avast.AV.Pro.5.0.545.exe' file to install.
NOTE: It is recommended to uncheck "Participate in the avast! community"
installation option.
03. Select 'Supply an avast 4.x license key' and enter one of the following:
C1502882R9972A0910-AST44SWX
C7147454R9964A0912-NTM9CB14
W8243684R8800R1106-EZ3VYN2M
S9448143R9963A0910-LM9LZ83E
04. After installation, restart your computer in SAFE MODE.
NOTE: To enter SAFE MODE, press 'F8' key just before Windows starts.
05. In SAFE MODE, double-click the included 'Patch.exe' file to apply the patch.
06. Restart your computer.
07. After restart, enable your Internet connection.
08. Run avast! Pro Antivirus then click 'MAINTENANCE -> Update' and
click 'Update engine and virus definitions' to download and install the updates.
09. After update, click 'SUMMARY -> Current Status -> Show Details', and you should
see the 'Expiration Date' up until 4/20/2024!
10. Done!

If you are having trouble restarting your computer in safe mode,
do the following instead:
a. Run avast! Pro Antivirus then click "SETTINGS -> Troubleshooting" and Uncheck
"Enable avast! self-defense module".
b. Press 'CTRL+ALT+Delete' keys and click "Start Task Manager" to open the
"Task Manager" window.
c. Under "Processes" tab, click "Show processes from all users" button.
Under 'Image Name', select "AvastSvc.exe" and click "End Process" button to stop
the process. Click "End process" button to confirm. Do the same for "AvastUI.exe".
NOTE: You must stop/end the processes for both "AvastSvc.exe" & "AvastUI.exe".
d. Run the included 'Patch.exe' file to apply the patch.
e. Click "SETTINGS -> Troubleshooting" and check "Enable avast! self-defense module"
check box.
f. Restart your computer.
g. Run avast! Pro Antivirus then click 'MAINTENANCE -> Update' and
click 'Update engine and virus definitions' to download and install the updates.
h. Done!

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Update ONLY the engine and virus definitions. Do NOT update the program.
To disable Update Program, click Settings-> Updates-> PROGRAM: Select "Manual update".
- If you have accidentally updated the program, just run the 'Patch.exe' file again.
